Due to certain types of RP being limited by lore-related things (Such as MPF ranks,OTA behavior,ALL citizens being malnourished,etc) I wanted to make a poll and what we should be.

Should we be 100% elitist and follow the lore to the dime,meaning MPF will always be edgy as hell,all citizens will be depressed and all OTA are characterless and only for shooting things?

OR

Should we be more unique,allowing people to make their own RP,even if it doesn't 100% fit into the lore (Hell,Kleiner made a teleporter,and new creatures are getting discovered all the time.) We could change the MPF ranks,make OTA have character etc. It'd make our server much more unique compared to other servers. LP follows the lore completely,and look how "Fun" That server is. People can make suggestions that we don't have to outright deny because it doesn't follow the lore.

A lot of things on the server don't follow the lore anyway such as MPF ranks in the lore there are only two ranks. Things such as having OTA with personality will put people off because who can take a killing machine seriously when he's craving cereal or something.

I actually want to see an OTA trying to eat cereal,realizing he can't take off his mask and falling into an endless depression so he has to take anti-depressants on the field and spends most of his time getting psychiatric therapy from HELIX and such. That's the kind of RP that goes from "I want cereal" to an incredibly complex work of RP art.

Also I'm not saying it'd be bad to be different. I'm saying it would be bad for the playerbase as I know for a fact it'd put a lot of people off as it would seem like masss failRP to them. Hell, it'd put me off to be honest.

Well,obviously the lore won't be completely disregarded. I just want to stop the elitist attitude towards HL2RP servers. Every time a server goes slightly off-lore people start raging. But since we've never 100% from the start,people got used to it. New people will be citizens,and they don't experience many lore-related things.
