How Long have you been on the server?: I have been on this server for about 4 or 5 days now.
What whitelist's do you have on the server at the minute?: Currently, I have an MPF whitelist, and a CWU whitelist.
What Creature do you want to be? (Headcrab,Zombie,Antlion) : I wish to be a headcrab. Specifically a fast or regular one ( I don't mind which.)
Explain what a (Headcrab,Zombie,Antlion) Is: A headcrab is a creature that originates from the borderworld, Xen. They are quite small creatures, but are quite fierce. A headcrab comes in three different breeds: Normal, fast and poison. A normal headcrab simply wanders about and tries to latch on to the head of it's prey, putting it in control of the host's nervous system, effectively making it a zombie. A fast headcrab does the same, but it's hosts have the ability to climb, jump, and are generally much more fast and menacing. A poison headcrab will inject a lethal poison into it's victims, whether it manages to get onto the head or not. If it does take over it's prey, multiple poison headcrabs will join with the host (Possibly attracted to the smell of the poison in the victim's blood), and these extra headcrabs are thrown at other potential victims, like projectiles. It should be noted that poison headcrabs need to prepare for a second or two before attacking.
How do they fight/protect themselves?: A headcrab fights its enemies by leaping at them, and attempting to latch onto their heads, which will give the headcrab access to the nervous system, effectively making the host a zombie. Poison headcrabs will also attempt to inject their lethal toxins into your blood, most likely from their claws.
Why do you want to be a (Headcrab,Zombie,Antlion)? : I want to be a headcrab because I've never really experienced that sort of roleplay before, and I would like to expand my knowledge of HL2RP and discover new ways to interact with people at the same time.
Backstory (175 words minimum) [Obviously OOC as these creatures cannot write]: (It is at this point that I will make an assumption of a headcrab's life span. In this backstory, without a host, they would live for about 4-5 years, given their small size.)
Skitters began life on the borderworld of Xen, a couple of years after the combine’s invasion of Earth. Just a few short days after his birth from a Gonarch, Skitters was taken from the Gonarch by the combine, who were exploring that region of Xen for headcrabs and other species for their use against humanity and anti-citizens. Skitters didn’t take very kindly to the harsh embrace of the OTA units, and attempted to attack one of the units as they took him away. The combine were used to this situation, however, and attacked Skitters, throwing him into a small, cramped cage. After that, any unit who held his cage would have a tough time trying to contain him, due to his rather violent nature towards them.
Skitters was taken to the City 17 Citadel, where he remained in his cage for roughly 2 or 3 years. Any time an officer passed Skitters, he would gaze at their heads with as much anger as a headcrab can have, but he was often meant with a harsh reaction from units, hitting the cage with either a stun baton or the butt of an AR2. This didn’t mean he was kept in oppression, however, as he was sometimes given a watermelon to latch on to. These were experiments by the combine to see how headcrabs performed when exposed with objects that resembled human heads. Unbeknownst to Skitters, the combine were preparing him for an attack on a settlement of anti-citizens within the city.
The time came for Skitters to go out into the city. He was forcefully taken out of his cage and shoved into a shell full of other headcrabs of his variety, as he had shown not to take well to poison or fast headcrabs in the experiments carried out on him. The shell was cramped, and all the while, the headcrabs were desperately trying to escape the entrance before they were launched, but it was too late. The shell was launched into the air, and just a few seconds later, landed with a harsh thud, right on top of 2 anti-citizens, right in the centre of the settlement.
The hatch atop the shell slowly opened, and the headcrabs contained within quickly took the opportunity to escape. They began to leap out, one by one, until the shell was empty. The anti-citizens quickly responded with gunfire, and some headcrabs managed to latch on to the heads of their targets. But Skitters didn’t fight. Instead, he ran off, using the chaos and confusion as cover.
Skitters roamed around in the sewers beneath City 17 for about 3 days, until he came across a citizen, walking his way. The two stopped before each other, and simply stared. It was clear the citizen had never seen a headcrab before, and Skitters had never met a person who wasn’t instantly out to kill him. The man leant down onto one knee and began to pet the crab. “Hey, you’re a cute one, aren’t ya? You certainly seem to be able to skitter about! In fact, I’ll call you Skitters.”
The man took Skitters to his home, a small room within the sewers. The man didn’t have much, but he had more than enough of one thing: Watermelons. Skitters spent 3 months with the man, and his life had never been so good. Daily watermelons, care, affection, and safety. Unfortunately for Skitters, that wasn’t going to last much longer.
Civil Protection had found the man, who turned out to be hiding from them. Skitters managed to hide in a dark corner of the room, and quickly fled while the units were dealing with the man. He now roams around the sewers, aimlessly, either trying to find some watermelons, his carer, or perhaps some unsuspecting citizen, to be his first host.
Do you promise not to abuse this whitelist?: I, Applez, promise to never abuse this whitelist in any way whatsoever, and if I should do so, you can take away the whitelist if you see fit.
Give a 15 line RP example INCLUDING the creature you are applying for (Use as many RP techniques as possible):
*A rebel is walking in the sewers, with a citizen they had just recruited into the rebellion.
*Skitters walks along the sewer pathway, eventually bumping into the two.
Citizen: Gah! What the hell is that thing?
Rebel: It's a headcrab, and if you aren't careful, it'll latch on to your head, and you'll become a zombie. I suggest hiding around the corner.
*The citizen runs and cowers behind the corner of the sewer path.
Rebel: Alright, you little shit. You aint killin' me today!
*The rebel aims her pistol at Skitters, and attempts to shoot him.
*Skitters rolls 88 out of 100
*Rebel rolls 42 out of 100
*Skitters leaps at the rebel, disorienting them and preventing them from shooting him.
*The rebel begins to lose balance on the edge of the path, and falls into the water.
*Skitters attempts to dash past the citizen so that they do not grab him and he can escape.
*Citizen rolls 90 out of 100
*Skitters rolls 20 out of 100
*The citizen grabs Skitters, and yells 'Gotcha!' as he squirms around in his arms.
